It was such a hit with my husband that he insisted that we return the next day to finish the date. I always knew he had a thing for history and ruins, but I never knew he wanted to travel to Peru!! Jamie actually told me afterwards that he would love to go to our local library and just sit in the children’s section and take turns reading our favorite books! Have I “converted” him to believe in the wonders of reading? Most of the dates I have posted so far have been pretty crazy….meaning, you would have to have an *extrovert* type of personality to do them. These dates are perfect for us because we are both such extreme extroverts ourselves.Remember…this is the husband that does not like to pick up a book and read for fun! If you click on the picture below, you may be able to see the breathtaking picture he is holding up of an ancient civilization in Peru. ) He also mentioned that others who do this date could have a “WILD CARD” task….meaning that the person planning it could ask their spouse to make up a task on the spot that the spouse would really enjoy.

We all might or might not have a significant other whom are avid readers. So here are the top 8 obvious things you need to know about dating a bookworm: Yes! Whether we are on dates or somehow walking on the streets, if we stumble upon a bookstore there is definitely a 99% chance of us grabbing your hand and dragging you along into the bookstore. We bookworms get our brain cells chugging and working each time we pick up a different book which makes our memories sharper even as we get older. We might frequently blurt out what we want for our birthdays or for Christmas but hey, it saves you time and energy during the hussle and bussle of gift shopping!

Most of us avid readers secretly and sincerely hope their other half will understand their lifelong relationship with books. We might end up buying a few books, (okay, we WILL), but we might also just stroll around and gawk at all the latest collections and bestsellers before making up our minds. Thus, we don’t forget special dates like your birthday and anniversaries. Get us a book we have been longing for and trust me, the smiles on our faces will be priceless.
