I’d say it’s more common than you would think, but at the same time, I’ve enjoyed everything up to this point, and I’ve enjoyed just looking for something else. But, yeah, I couldn’t tell you actual, uh, I feel like DMs (direct messages) nowadays might as well be like a dating website for people. Because (laughs) I’ve gotten a lot, and I’ve sent a few. Back in January, weeks after the Kansas City Chiefs lost to the New England Patriots in the AFC divisional playoff game, an interesting announcement was made about Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce: For a portion of the offseason, the 27-year-old would be dating 50 women — one from each state — in the hopes of finding his “lifelong teammate” in a new .In March, I interviewed Kelce outside of a mansion nestled in a nice neighborhood in Sherman Oaks, Calif., where he was made available for one-on-one media interviews to promote his show (we were told to embargo our stories until the premiere was set — the show’s first episode airs Wednesday night at 9 p.m. But before I get to the interview, let me tell you about the journey to the house.
My family knows that I’m a guy that likes to enjoy myself, so they’re always supportive of everything I’m doing, and that’s why I appreciate ‘em and love ‘em. I’m the guy that, I know I’m gonna get laughed at, I know there’s gonna be stuff that’s gonna be shown — I know it — that’s gonna make everyone wanna make fun of me. I can go out and hit the salsa and go back and Hit the Quan.
But if you can’t laugh at yourself, I feel like what are you in for it for?
Yeah, I feel like it definitely is, and definitely for guys that are looking for the right things in girls.
You know, you can get caught up in the limelight of the party life, and most of the time, the girls in the party life aren’t the ones that you need to take home to mama. I mean, I’ve been on social medias, I’ve never really been on Tinder.
At the top of the driveway, outside the house, Kelce waited with his perfectly done hair and a bright blue shirt. And even though it was a little bit hot and he had been sitting through interviews all day, Kelce seemed to be in a fairly good mood, ready to talk about how he’d be turning into Here’s the interview from March 30 in which Kelce talks about why he changed his mind after not wanting to do the show at first, how he’s ready for his teammates to tease him as this airs during the 2016-17 season, the difficulties of trying to fit dates into the schedule of a pro athlete and why “DMs nowadays might as well be like a dating website.” It’s been fun.I’m kind of just riding the waves at this point where I don’t really know where this is going, but I’m enjoying the process of everything I’m going through.
