Playstation 3 updating slow
Play Station Plus, the online subscription service that grants players access to multiplayer, Instant Game Collection, Share Play, among many other bonus features has seen its price raise from dollars a year to dollars, which will go into effect on September 22.
The premium package has been available to Play Station gamers for six years now and throughout that time the subscription service has proven to be the foundation of the Play Station’s network, but will the recent price hike drive the service to lose some steam? When Play Station Plus first became available during Play Station 3’s era of gaming, it was considered a luxury and nothing more.
“Play Station Plus strives to enrich your Play Station experience through a world-class service built for our fans.
This marks the first time that PS Plus membership prices will increase in the U. and Canada since the launch of the service in 2010.
The new pricing reflects the current market conditions while enabling us to continue providing exceptional value to our members,” said Greg Lewickyj, Play Station Plus Content Partnership Manager, on the Play Station Blog.
You can tell right off the bat that something fishy is up at Play Station as the way they choose to drop this news on the community was by updating an old blog post from the past inserting the latter quote.
