Thanks Plug Smargo in to USB port windows will detect it and bring up found new hardware window, change the look in location to where you have the drivers stored and select the windows_Drivers folder click next windows should do the rest.

If you have already gone past this point then go to Device Manager and use the update drivers option.

This is my that my aurora card worked with: ############################################### CAMKEY: /dev/sci0 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 CAMKEY: /dev/sci1 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 ############################################### #### Please do not change this Config #### #### It is preset to read Iredto 2V5 & NDS #### #### Works with UBC, DSTV, ZEE, Astro, ST1 #### #### Dream TV, Tata Sky, Fox Tel, Auroua, Sky #### #### Australia Network and many others~ Noi#### ############################################### SERVER LISTEN PORT : 12000 INFO LISTEN PORT : 16000 HTML INFO LISTEN PORT : 16001 ALLOW WEBINFO: yes # WEBINFO USERNAME : # WEBINFO PASSWORD : # TRY ALL CHIDS : /dev/sci0 ZAP OSD TIME :2 OSD USERNAME :root OSD PASSWORD :dreambox SHOW TIMING : no DEBUG : yes NEWCAMD CONF :no DISABLE EMM : no EXTRA EMM LEVEL : no SOFTKEY FILE : /var/keys/Soft Cam. I can't seem to read any cards with the reader I have and was curious as to why the light goes off as soon as a card is inserted.

I've opened it up and observed a metal contact at the end which switches when the card is fully inserted.

Anyway i have done that but when i do: 2: Open 3: Plug the smartreader into a usb port 4: Select Autoswitch or fixed mode 5: Select Normal or Dreambox kernel 6: Make sure it returns with "writing settings successful" It doesnt returns with "writing settings successful", its just blank when i click apply. when you plug Smargo in wait a few mins untill windows detects it and loads the drivers, is Smargo for PC or Dreambox? yer got it working saying "writing settings successful" stupid win7 had to change admin rights and change it to be compatibly with Win XP S3 and then i wrote now to get the card working in the dreambox Is it possible to read an authentic aurora card from the slot already had this working before + the whitey in the smargo. After a card is inserted nothing will get it to turn back on until I disconnect the USB connection and plug it back in without a card inserted. Can anyone with a Smargo please describe the correct operation of the reader for me?
